Where it all began for InsideJapan Tours...
Way back in 2000, after spending several years living and working in Japan, our founders Simon and Alastair decided it was time to show other people just how fantastic the Land of the Rising Sun truly is.
So, from a bedroom in Alastair's mum's house, InsideJapan Tours was born.
The challenge? Working out how to fit years' worth of incredible sights, sounds, tastes and activities into a two week trip.
That first trip, they took five happy customers on our first ever Small Group Tour.
Over 20 years on, while InsideJapan Tours now has three global offices and a team of over 170, Small Group Tours are still at the heart of what we do.
And our ethos - to take people on cultural adventures that showcase Japan, working with people who truly understand its unique way of life, in a sustainable and responsible way - hasn't changed.
